Despite the destruction, the city underwent a remarkable restoration after the war. Today, Warsaw is a modern city combining its traditional heritage with modern architecture. The Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with its medieval alleys and stone-built buildings. The city also has impressive museums, such as the Warsaw Museum, which tells the history and culture of the city through art and exhibits.
